Wednesday Writes: Night Light

I tattooed your name in invisible ink.
In the right light, I synchronize my vision to your letters.
Like a lighthouse in the abyss, you navigated my soul to think.

The stars longed for your companionship.
I was simply a UFO, searching for a heart to come in peace.
Now the galaxy is my fractured heart in pieces.

Always the songbird,
I wonder if you still sing about me.
Or do your wings beat silent single notes?

I’m going in circles, trying to get to the point.
Dancing around complications with two left feet.
A feat that led to defeat.

Now we reach the end of our period.
An era filled with errors and troubling seas.
